Project partners will analyse 5 modelling case studies to make the E1st principle operational for selected regions or countries in Europe representing differences in energy market size, structure, and policy experience. These will consider:
The case studies are geared to determine an optimal level of energy efficiency measures compared to alternative supply options, while achieving a certain GHG reduction target and providing the remaining supply efficiently.
Validation of the modelling findings will be carried out during a dedicated conference where weights for multicriteria analysis and results will be presented and verified with experts’ opinions (around March 2021).
