Expert online workshop, 15 April 2021
The workshop aimed to discuss and rank barriers and success factors for the implementation of the Energy Efficiency First principle in a selection of policy approaches.
The workshop kicked off with an introduction of the ENEFIRST project and its outputs, as well as the of the objectives of the workshop.
Participants were then invited to join breakout groups to discuss the policy approaches of their field of interest:
- buildings (presentation; minutes)
- power sector (presentation; minutes)
- district heating (presentation; minutes)
Participants could contribute through the discussions and using notes in a whiteboard prepared on the MIRO platform that was also used for a voting session.
After a short reporting of each breakout group back in the plenary, Hadrien Michel (European Commission, DG ENER) discussed the implementation of the E1st principle in EU funding mechanisms.
