The new DG Energy Unit “Energy Efficiency: Buildings and Products” (C.4) will get a new leader. Inge Bernaerts, now Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Marianne Thyssen, is expected to start as Head of Unit on 1 November 2019. This might however be delayed due to the extension of Juncker Commission’s mandate.
Mid-September, the Energy Efficiency unit was split. The C.3 unit “Energy Efficiency: Policy and Finance” is lead by acting Head of Unit Claudia Canevari. Robert Nuij is acting Head of Unit of the new C.4 unit.
